Howard Miller Gerald R. Ford Grandfather Clock 611-068. This superb addition to our Presidential Collection features an elegant swan neck pediment with open fret, leaf-and-vine carvings with a turned urn finial, carved rosettes, and an applied overlay center of jewel box ash burl veneers. The elaborate dial features raised brass Arabic numerals, cast center and corner ornaments, and a moon phase with exclusive Presidential Collection hemispheres. Polished brass pendulum has a cast center disk which complements the dial and the polished brass finished weight shells feature coordinating decorative bands. The dial features illumination allowing time to be viewed in a darkened room setting while the glow accents the pendulum and weights. Beveled glass throughout for added elegance. Top side doors have beveled glass and offer access to the movement and storage of the hand crank and tasseled door key. The large reeded columns feature distinctively carved caps that frame the door. The multi-tiered base features an inset panel of bookmatched olive ash burl veneers and a decorative cutout with a complementing open fret, leaf-and-vine carving. Heirloom Record Certificate with brass tube for recording your clocks ownership history for future generations. Designed by Chris Bergelin. Finished in Tuscany Cherry on select hardwoods and veneers. Illuminated dial for viewing in darkness. Adjustable levelers under each corner provide stability on uneven and carpeted floors.
