This stately rendition of the original John Goddard is possibly one of the most eminent tall case clocks in American history. Standing a full 94" high, it has a prominent and dignified presence. The solid wood pinch-waist case, finished in elegant cherry, has a removable hood for easy movement and dial access. The brass 8-day cable driven movement offers the three most renowned clock melodies, Westminster, Whittington and St. Michael as well as automatic night shutoff. Polished brass finished weight shells and pendulum with a center disk that complements the dial. . The lower door panel features a John Goddard Shell overlay hand carved in solid cherry. Finished in Cherry on select solid Cherry. Adjustable levelers under all four corners. Locking door for added security. Cable-driven, Westminster chime German movement with automatic nighttime chime shut-off option, second hand and day of the week indicator.
