On the hour, the Seiko QXM532BRH Melody In Motion Clock Model dial will break apart into 2 sections that rise and lower vertically that reveal a brilliant dazzling display of faceted LED lights and sound. This musical clock features on the hour plays one of sixteen Hi-Fi melodies on the hour. Real solid wood frame with sturdy finger joints on the sides. Volume control, Demonstration button and a Light sensor sensor quiet the clocks when the lights are subdued in the evenings. Accurate Quartz movement Requires 1 "AA" & 4 "D" batteries
