Hermle Quartz Cuckoo Clock Instructions

Please read the following instructions carefully before handling your clock:

1) Before inserting the batteries, set the clock to 12:00.

2) Open the back cover and insert three Baby C, Alkaline LR14, 1.5 V batteries. Pay attention to the plus and minus.
Important: please do not use rechargeable or zinc-carbon batteries.

3) Securely hang the clock on the wall and affix the pendulum.

4)   Turn the minute hand (large hand) clockwise until the clock tells the correct time. Important: let the cuckoo call every hour on the hour.

5)  Should the time the clock is showing not correspond to the number of cuckoo calls,
please proceed as follows:
Example: ifthe cuckoo calls twice, turn the hour hand (small hand!) to 2. If the cuckoo calls nine times, turn the hour hand to 9.

6) On the left side, you will find:
- a light sensor which automatically switches off the cuckoo call at night
- a switch for “music on”, “music off’ and “off”
- a dial to control the volume


7) The batteries must be replaced ifthe bird's door no longer opens or closes or if the clock is slow.

8) The clock plays a different melody every hour.
The order of the melodies is:
Music Box Dancer/ Muss i denn zum... / Zhivago Melody/ Mihle im Schwarzwald/
Barcarole / Ich weiss nicht was soll es bedeuten / Oh mein Papa/ Frohlicher
Wanderer/ Que sera / Edelweiss/ Fur Elise/ Clementine

Reset function:
Every quartz cuckoo clock hasa reset function that restores the clock to factory settings. To
reset, remove the batteries. Then, set the clock to 12:00 until you hear the trigger. Afterward,
please wait about one minute. Re-insert the batteries and proceed as described, starting with
Point 4.
