The Bulova B1931 Sturbridge Chiming Mantel Clock is built from hardwood solids and veneers finished in a warm brown cherry finish.
The base design is a 3-step routed base supporting the classic arched tambour shape.
A curved glass lens covers the cream dial that helps to eliminate glare from a nearby window or lamp.
Contrasting traditional black Arabic numbers and black metal spade hands against the cream-colored dial make this oversized dial easy to read.

Bulova's Hourly Harmonic Westminster hourly-only chime plays on the hour and follows with a separate hour count. The chime has a volume control and will turn off between 11:00 PM and come back on after 6:00 AM. There is also an on/off switch on the bottom to turn the chimes on or off. The accurate chiming Quartz movement is powered by (3) AA batteries, not included.
