This Pre-owned Howard Miller Lanford Grandfather Clock has been taken down completely to the wood, renewed, and a brand-new German Kieninger KS70 movement has been professionally installed. This is a step up from the movement used in some of the Howard Miller Presidential series, priced over $10,000.00.  

This floor clock was built in Zeeland, MI and originally purchase in November of 1994. The clock has been fully re-newed and is a better clock than it was when new. It features a curved swan neck pediment with ornately carved overlays drawing attention to the delicately turned finial, decorative shell overlay, and bookmatched crotch mahogany inlays. The clock was built entirely from solid woods that are rare today. A separate dial door opens to access the polished brass-finished dial offers an elaborate satin brass filigree pattern across the dial, a center disk with a moving, astrologically correct blue moon phase, and a silver chapter ring with applied brass Arabic numerals. The polished brass-finished pendulum features a center disk that complements the dial, and the polished brass weight shells. Reeded columns with twin turned top and bottom caps surround the door, pointing downward to a multi-tiered base with an impressive cut-out and decorative molding. Beveled glass highlights the locking lower door and bottom sides, while the fretted decorative wood and removable glass upper side panels allow easy access to the movement. Newly refinished in Cherry on select hardwoods. New adjustable levelers under all four corners. Automatic nighttime chime shut-off option.  Locking door for added security.
