OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS  For Bulova B1866 Musical Christmas Clock

Features:  Plays 12 Christmas Melodies with Night Silence.

Quick Start:

1) With batteries removed,  Set the time to 7:45 on the dial.

2) insert a fresh, good quality “AA” battery into the battery compartment of movement behind the hands and into two AA batteries into the battery compartment of the chime control box with the polarity as shown.

3) Set the time by turning the time setting wheel on the back with the hands moving CLOCKWISE until the hands reach the correct time.  If you are setting it up in the PM hours, go PAST 12 o’clock until the hands reach the correct time.

 

Complete Operating Instructions

  1. To Start The Xmas Clock If your clock has a back, remove the back cover and insert a fresh, good quality “AA” battery into the battery compartment of movement with the polarity as shown. If the battery is already in the clock, please remove insulator and reinsert the battery.
  2. To Set Melody, The clock will play 12 Christmas melodies one each hour. The sequence of melodies is pre-programmed, can’t be changed.

Gently slide the on/off switch located on the back of melody control box to “OFF” position. Turn the hand setting knob, in the rear of movement, in the direction as indicated until the time is at 7:45 on the dial.

Insert two NEW,  good quality “AA” batteries into the battery compartment of the chime control box with the polarity as shown. If batteries are already in the battery compartment, please remove insulator and reinsert batteries.

Gently slide the on/off switch located on the back of melody control box to “ON” position. Turn the hand-setting knob, in the rear of movement, in the direction as indicated until the desired time is obtained on the dial. If setting PM, go PAST 12 o’clock. Melody will sound one each hour and the Night Silence feature is activated automatically.

Note: Once the battery is removed from the melody control box, follow the steps to set up melody again. Re-insert batteries to the battery compartment after 5 minutes and then start the setup procedures.

III. To Silence the Melody,  Gently slide the on/off switch to “OFF” position. The melody will now stop.

 

Set Button Do not use, for factory service only.

 

General Notes

  1. Use a clean, dry, soft cloth to wipe away fingerprints. Do not use any solvents or abrasive cleaner/polish.
  2. Do not tape anything to clock surfaces as the adhesive can degrade the finish.
  3. Replace the battery if the timekeeping becomes erratic or melody becomes “Fuzzy” as this may be an indication of battery exhaustion.

4. If you are storing your Christmas Clock when not in use, remove the batteries while in storage to prevent battery leaking during storing of your Christmas Carol Clock.
