Hermle-Smithsonian 91001-N90132 Ships Bell Clock and Barometer

Elegant Nautical box in a cherry finish with a North Star Inlay and a two species wood border around the hinged top which allows access to the inside of the case. The solid select cherry case displays a Brass ships bell clock featuring a Mechanical 8-day striking movement and a precision Barometer with Thermometer.

The 8-day key wound movement has an 11 jewel platform escapement. The dial is white with Roman numerals and spade hands. Mechanical German movement chimes the ships watch. The bell on / off lever is located on the dial.

The Barometer movement is controlled by the atmospheric pressure with an auxiliary thermometer in a hinged, front clasped heavy, beveled glass covered case. Easy to read dials with a set hand to compare rising or falling pressure. The hinged bezels have heavy beveled glass lenses and screw-down fasteners.

Hand made in Virginia using highly selected woods. Clock and Barometer are made in Germany and installed in the US.
