Howard Miller Torrence 611-268 Quartz Grandfather Clock

The Howard Miller Torrence 611-268 Grandfather Clock is part of Howard Millers New 91st Anniversary Edition of clocks. This clock is inspired by the Swedish Mora clocks from the late nineteenth century. This clock has an aged look that is achieved through spatter marks, the use of a rasp, and well placed dents. The Antique Grey finish features white undertones on select hardwood and veneers. The Torrence clocks that are made in 2017 will have the 91st Anniversary Edition inscription on the dial. The dial has an aged look with black Roman numerals that look worn and charcoal grey hands behind a glass crystal that is convex. This clock has a hinged, top door that offers easy access to the clock movement and pendulum driver. The hinged locking mid door has a decorative cut out and a convex glass window. This window allows you to see the pendulum swinging. The metal stick pendulum has a circular blackened steel-finished pendulum bob. The crown is removable for two distinct looks. The tapered base features a decorative cut out and adjustable levelers under all four corners.

The accurate quartz triple chime harmonic movement requires two "C" and two "D" batteries. This movement plays the full Ave Maria and Westminster chime and strike on the hour, and chime on the 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 hour. It can also play the Westminster melody hour only, or the Bim-Bam chime hour only. This clock has a volume control and a automatic nighttime chime shut-off option.
